Dr. James Michael (Mike) Waddington is a professor of ecohydrology in the School of Geography and Earth Sciences at McMaster University. Mike has over 25 years of boreal wetland research experience and over 20 years of ecosystem restoration expertise. He has published over 120 scientific papers. His research focus is on integrative water science for boreal wetland management and he teaches courses in climate change, hydrology, ecosystem dynamics and restoration. Dr. Waddington is a co-founder of the scientific journal Ecohydrology and was the 2014 British Hydrological Society Penman Lecturer. Outside of academia, Dr. Waddington is an active adventure runner and adventure racer. He is also co-founder of the not-for-profit start-up organization Adventure Running Kids.
